Plentiful support systems
Various kinds of support are available for PEP. Students can take advantage of several support systems on offer, from expenses for required curriculum courses and RA expenses in accordance with the value of the research, to alleviation of class fees and career advice available at each university.
  • RA stipends

    Program students participating in a joint research project with partner institutions or companies are eligible to receive PEP Program RA (Research Assistant) stipends via their principal advisor (the principal investigator of the project).

  • Expense support for required classes

    All fees arising from required classes in the Power Energy Professional training program (travel, etc.) will be covered.

  • Support for dispatch overseas

    Specially selected students who are dispatched for mid- to long-term periods to universities, research institutions or companies overseas will have their expenses covered. Take advantage of support from PEP, as well as systems at major universities. Some examples of such systems available at Waseda University are:

    • ・Aid for expenses associated short-term dispatch to foreign universities
    • ・Aid for expenses associated with presenting research papers at international conferences
  • Other course aid and scholarships

    There are many other kinds of support systems available at each university.
    At Waseda University for example, the Scholarship for Young Doctoral Students is available to all students (all years for integrated system, from year TD3 for separated system). Please contact each university from for details.

  • Career paths for graduates

    Some universities offer career design support for doctoral graduate students as well. At Waseda University’s doctoral career center, we support career development and design.
